Sheffield multicultural education workshop

The next Sheffield Multicultural Education Project workshop is on Thursday 9 March from 4pm-5.30pm at the UMIX Centre,  17 Asline Road, S2 4UJ.

The Centre stands next to the outdoor football pitches adjacent to Lowfield School. Parking is available opposite the centre.

One Sheffield Many Cultures and Family Voice are collaborating on a project to raise the profile of multicultural education in the city. Our workshops are friendly and focus on developing practical steps that can be put into practice to benefit all students.

We are looking to bring people together – teachers, educational practitioners, school governors and parents – to share ideas and resources with a theme of multicultural education.

We also wish to discuss how schools in Sheffield can take full advantage of the contribution of different communities from across the world that have settled in our city.

Our second workshop is a chance to share more ideas and explore strategies to bridge the educational attainment gap for BME students.
